One Small Step… at KFXM

“I was on the air at KFXM on Sunday, July 20, 1969 - the day Apollo 11 landed on the moon. I had my little Sony portable TV next to the console and watched (and commented on the air) as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the surface. I seem to recall that Neil Armstrong’s historic comment ‘One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind’ didn’t quite come out as cleanly as it is repeated today. There was some kind of audio glitch or flub that they subsequently cleaned up. I could be mistaken. I may have been distracted by all the girls at poolside (as usual).”
